Lviv is a regional centre of Eastern Europe. Taking into account favourable geographical position and development possibilities, international airlines will open "air gates” from Lviv to the countries of the whole world.  

Today Lviv International Airport realizes flights to Italy, Austria, Spain, Germany, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia. The possibility of receiving intercontinental flights allows opening new air communications for citizens of Lviv and its guests.

Passenger handling capacity in Lviv Airport is 300 passengers per hour during arrivals and 220 passengers per hour during departures. The length of runway is 2510 m and there are 8 flights per hour. 

After the reconstruction the passenger handling capacity of Lviv Airport will be 900 passengers per hour (during UEFA EURO 2012™  – 1 900 passengers per hour). The length of runway will be 3450 meters, which allows  a reception of intercontinental flights. This possibility will put Lviv Airport in one line with other European international airports.
