Host City Lviv
Lviv has been elected a cultural capital of Ukraine. It is a city, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Every year Lviv is visited by more than million tourists from all around the world and the tourism is one of the most important branches in the city progress. We realize, that today’s tourism market provides a great chance for us to attract tourists to our city. Lviv is constantly implementing the City promotion concept in Ukraine and abroad.
Lviv is “Different Europe” – it is a city of authentic traditions, architectural heritage, cultural customs, memorials, and historical experience that is extraordinary not only to the tourists from Western Europe but even for the Ukrainians.
Lviv is a “City of Ukrainian traditions”- Nowadays Lviv is the biggest Ukrainian speaking city in the world, where the Ukrainian customs, holidays, and language are vivacious and natural.
Lviv is a city of events. It is a city where you can always find something interesting to visit – either a great festival or small concert.
It is clear that hosting UEFA EURO 2012™ in Lviv is to become the key-event for the coming years, which will serve to help in the city promotion. Our goal is to use this important event to impact on our city for as long as possible. The best advertisement for our city is the experiences of those tourists who have already visited Lviv. That is why we want every spectator, who will participate in UEFA EURO 2012™ in Lviv to get the great experiences about our city.
To host the event of this significance means for Ukraine and Lviv, in particular, a large number of guests: sportsmen, football supporters, and tourists from different countries. UEFA EURO 2012™ is both either a chance for Lviv to promote about itself to the world or a unique chance for the West to open in our city "the other Europe". Lviv has proved to be worthy to host European Football Championship 2012.
